Is It Time to Accelerate or Risk Being Left Behind?
In 2025, Thailand reaches a pivotal crossroads.

According to the AI Transformation Readiness Report – March 2025, conducted by the AI Transformation Readiness Institute (AITR), while many Thai organizations have laid initial foundations for artificial intelligence (AI) adoption, most remain in the early to mid-stages of transformation. The question now is:
Will they move forward fast enough—or risk falling behind in a world where AI is becoming the new economic engine?
AI Is No Longer Just a Tool — It’s a Strategic Imperative
The report emphasizes a core truth:
“Artificial Intelligence is no longer just a tool for efficiency — it has become a strategic factor that defines competitiveness, growth, and survival.”
Organizations can no longer rely on “using AI” sporadically. Instead, they must systematically transform their business with AI in a way that’s scalable, sustainable, and strategic. This shift requires bold leadership, clear roadmaps, and organization-wide integration.
2025: A Turning Point for Thai Organizations
The study highlights 2025 as a critical turning point—marking the transition into the third era of both Digital and AI Transformation, where AI and digital technologies evolve from supportive roles into the core of business operations.
In this new era, AI is not a side project—it becomes the backbone of how decisions are made, products are delivered, customers are engaged, and value is created.
What Is “AI Transformation Readiness”?
AI Transformation Readiness Institute (AITR) defines AI Transformation Readiness as:
“An organization’s ability to integrate AI in a balanced and strategic way to drive differentiation and deliver outstanding outcomes to customers, shareholders, and employees.”
The readiness model is structured into 5 distinct levels, ensuring a comprehensive analysis across 8 core dimensions and 38 sub-dimensions, ensuring a comprehensive and multidimensional analysis of the key factors influencing successful AI adoption and digital transformation.

Key Findings from the Report
Most organizations in Thailand are at the "Formalizing" stage, where basic structures and processes are being set up to support AI use—but without full-scale, strategic integration yet.
There is a growing awareness of AI’s importance, but a lack of deep understanding of how to transform with AI.
Many businesses lack talent, leadership, and ethical frameworks to support AI at scale.
Data and cloud are identified as foundational:
Data is the engine of AI decision-making.
Cloud is the enabler of flexibility and scalability.
Organizations must shift from small-scale pilots to enterprise-wide AI transformation.
The Inconvenient Truth
The report confronts a reality many executives already sense but rarely say aloud:
"Everyone knows it—but few dare to say it."
There’s a systemic hesitation to face the hard truth that real transformation requires more than technology—it demands culture change, governance redesign, and investment in human capability.
This report seeks to break that silence, inspire action, and empower Thai organizations to overcome hesitation—and lead.
A 6-Step Journey to Becoming an AI-Driven Enterprise
This journey is not about deploying AI for its own sake—it's about becoming an AI-driven organization that can compete, lead, and sustain growth in the AI economy. Read more
Conclusion: From Readiness to Leadership
The Thailand AI Transformation Readiness Report 2025 delivers more than a snapshot. It serves as a mirror for self-reflection and a map for bold action.
Thai organizations are at a crossroads: they’ve made a strong start, but now must accelerate to avoid being left behind.
The future belongs to those who don’t just adopt AI—but transform with it.
